Surrey and Sussex Police

Capra Architects, ECC, WML Consulting, DSSR and Appleyard and Trew Associate were commissioned by Surrey and Sussex Police to carry out a level 1 Feasibility Study for a proposed internal Firearms Training facility. The proposed facility is to replace and enhance the existing facility. The ECC team was asked to produce three options each with different levels of accommodation and facilities.

Brief for the Feasibility The basic requirements of the proposed facility include the following:

• 50m Range with drive on capability.
• Support rooms for the range.
• Accommodation to replace the requirements of the existing temporary firearms buildings.
• Accommodate additional firearms resources for other forces.
• Range and Accommodation to be accessed from within the secure compound of the station.
